Sumer Johal is a seasoned leader for building and managing technology-based ventures across multiple industries and global geographies.
Mr. Johal grew up in an agriculture family in India (Punjab) and came to the US as a teenager. He earned a BS and MS in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a minor in economics. After MIT, Mr. Johal spent the next 20 years disrupting some of the world’s largest Industries, at both private- and publicly-traded companies, in the US and around the world.
In early 2013, Mr. Johal founded Agralogics – the “Internet of Food” – a data platform for Food and Water Enterprises, across the globe, to improve operational efficiency via data-informed decision-making.
Mr. Johal lives in the San Francisco Bay Area (Lafayette, CA) with his wife and their two sons.
