ALEX MACKAY

Iroquois Valley Farms has a ten-year history of deploying private investment capital to secure land for independent family farmers looking to establish or expand their organic operations. Alex’s focus is raising new capital and keeping existing investors informed and happy.

A longtime enthusiast for delicious, sustainable food, Alex was drawn to the Company for its ability to make significant impact through a scalable, for-profit model. Prior to working in finance, Alex had a wide variety of hands-on experiences in food at the farm, wholesale and retail levels.

Alex received his BA in History from Columbia University and his MBA from Babson College. Originally from Hanover, NH, Alex now lives with his wife and one-year old son in Portland, OR where he grocery shops at the farmers’ market, backcountry skis in the Cascades and goes on long forest walks his dog.
