Our Impact In Action
More than a conference. The Forum is a crucible for connection, where entrepreneurs, artists, policymakers, investors, and activists shape the future side by side. But the magic doesn't end at the mic. Raft wild rivers, hike sun-drenched trails, and gather under starlit skies for dinners that strengthen relationships as the Forum invites you to connect with nature as deeply as you do with each other.

Our Impact Takes Root for the Planet
How ideas, relationships, and trust forged in Sun Valley ripple across the world

Hempitecture: Accessing Capital for Climate Innovation
At the Forum, Hempitecture founder Mattie Mead met Good Machine CEO David Solomon, a conversation that directly opened the door to a $500,000 zero-interest loan from the JLL Foundation. This catalytic capital is now enhancing operational efficiency and expanding Hempitecture’s product roadmap. As Matthew shared, the Forum continues to broaden his perspective on the diverse people and solutions shaping the future of sustainability.

Food + Planet & the Nourish California Initiative
A soil health dialogue hosted at the 2024 Forum sparked a chain of collaborations among Food + Planet, TomKat Ranch, and leading regenerative agriculture and education partners. These connections seeded the Nourish California Initiative and led to a statewide convening, early philanthropic funding, and paid opportunities for emerging leaders. The work has since grown into a multi-year proposal – Nourish California 2.0 – uniting partners across policy, education, and regenerative food systems.

SAG-AFTRA Pension Advocacy & Stand.Earth
Conceived through connections made at the 2023 Sun Valley Forum, the Retire Big Oil campaign was developed by Alex Wright-Gladstein (CEO, Sphere) and Todd Paglia (Executive Director, Stand.earth). This year, the campaign publicly launched on the Forum's main stage with coverage by Bloomberg's Leslie Kaufman, gaining visibility for climate-aligned retirement investing. Led by Mark Ruffalo, Jane Fonda, and Don Cheadle, the campaign mobilizes SAG-AFTRA members to urge their pension plan to divest at least $100 million from fossil fuels and reinvest in climate-safe solutions.
